Abstract

Abstract
This study, culminating in a media product (a written reportage), aims to monitor and deconstruct the phenomenon of "Remote Work, the E-commerce Revolution, and Startups in the Wilaya of M'sila" as an emerging economic alternative and a realistic choice for local youth in light of the scarcity of traditional jobs. The study adopts the interpretative approach of "Objective Press Reportage" as a journalistic genre and a methodological framework that combines description with socio-economic analysis. To achieve the study's objectives, integrated methodological tools were utilized, including the collection of quantitative statistical data for 2025 and conducting semi-structured interviews with three field categories: young developers and self-made e-commerce entrepreneurs operating from their homes, logistics and delivery company investors within the province, alongside surveying the perspectives of experts and academics in economics.
The study concluded with several key findings: the digital space in Algeria has transformed from an entertainment environment into a productive arsenal contributing to entrepreneurship and modernizing the local market in M'sila. Furthermore, university business incubators play a pivotal role as accelerators for "companies without physical headquarters." However, the study also revealed that the sustainability of this "silent revolution" still collides with anxieties over financial instability, the lack of social security, and the slow adaptation of the legislative and tax systems to virtual entities, as well as the challenge of stereotypic socio-cultural perceptions that link actual employment strictly with physical attendance.
