Abstract
Abstract :
This study aimed to identify the role of social media platforms in encouraging women to engage in sports activities and to examine the impact of digital sports content on enhancing motivation toward physical activity. It also sought to identify the most influential platforms and sports-related content, as well as the main obstacles to sports participation among women.
The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach and used a questionnaire to collect data from a sample of 60 women who use social media platforms .
The findings revealed that Instagram and TikTok are the most preferred platforms for following sports content, while visual content is the most influential in motivating women to practice sports. The results also showed that success stories and personal experiences shared by fitness influencers contribute to increasing motivation and self-confidence. Furthermore, a positive relationship was found between exposure to digital sports content and the willingness to engage in physical activity, despite the presence of obstacles such as lack of time and the shortage of sports facilities for women.
