Psychological Stability and Its Relationship with Emotional Regulation among Physicians at Suleiman Amirat Hospital in M'Sila

Abstract

The present study aimed to investigate the levels of psychological stability and emotion regulation among physicians at the Specialized Public Hospital Institution for Women and Obstetrics “Slimane Amirat” in M’Sila, and to uncover the correlational relationship between these two variables. Adopting a descriptive correlational methodology, data were collected using a psychological stability scale and an emotion regulation scale, after verifying their psychometric properties. The scales were applied to a purposive sample of (30) male and female physicians. The statistical analysis revealed the following findings: _The levels of psychological stability and emotion regulation among the studied physicians were high. _There is a statistically significant positive correlational relationship between The scores of psychological stability and emotion regulation among physicians in the study sample. _There are statistically significant differences in both psychological stability and emotion regulation attributable to the variable of professional experience.

In conclusion, the study highlights that psychological stability and emotion regulation are essential human and professional prerequisites that enhance the quality of medical performance, enabling physicians to adapt effectively to the high-stress and emergency environments of specialised hospitals.

هدفت الدراسة الحالية الى التعرف على مستوى الاستقرار النفسي والتنظيم الانفعالي لدى عينة من الأطباء بالمؤسسة العمومية الاستشفائية المتخصصة للأم والطفل "سليمان عميرات" بالمسيلة، والكشف عن طبيعة العلاقة الارتباطية بين هذين المتغيرين. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، تم الاعتماد على المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي، حيث طبقت أدوات الدراسة المتمثلة في مقياس الاستقرار النفسي و مقياس التنظيم الانفعالي بعد التحقق من خصائصها السيكومترية, و ذلك على عينة قصدية مكونة من (30) طبيبا و طبيبة من العاملين بالمستشفى. وقد أسفرت نتائج التحليل الاحصائي عن النتائج التالية: _ وجود مستوى مرتفع من الاستقرار النفسي والتنظيم الانفعالي لدى الأطباء في المؤسسة محل الدراسة. _ وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الاستقرار النفسي والتنظيم الانفعالي لدى الأطباء في عينة الدراسة. _ وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في كل من الاستقرار النفسي والتنظيم الانفعالي تعزى لمتغير الخبرة المهنية.

وفي الختام خلصت الدراسة الى التأكيد على الأهمية البالغة للاستقرار النفسي والتنظيم الانفعالي لمتطلبات إنسانية ومهنية أساسية تدعم جودة الأداء الطبي، وتمكن الأطباء من التكيف بفعالية مع ضغوط العمل وحالات الطوارئ التي تفرضها البيئة الاستشفائية المتخصصة.
