dc.description.abstractAbstract This study delves into the multifaceted repercussions of overcrowded classrooms on the performance of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers and the assimilation of knowledge among fourth-year middle school students. With a population comprising 90 students and 15 teachers, a sample of 30 students and 10 teachers was meticulously selected to provide valuable insights into the prevailing classroom conditions. The research employed a comprehensive methodology encompassing descriptive, analytical, qualitative, and quantitative approaches to gain a holistic perspective on the issue. Through the administration of two distinct questionnaires designed for both teachers and students, this study uncovers the challenges and opportunities presented by overcrowded classrooms in the context of EFL education. By utilizing a blend of qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods, the research aims to shed light on the effects of overcrowding, from its impact on teacher’s performance to its consequences for students’ assimilation of English language skills. Findings of this study are anticipated to contribute significantly to the existing body of knowledge in the field of education, specifically in the realm of EFL instruction. The insights gained from this research will be instrumental in informing educational policies and strategies aimed at optimizing learning environments, improving teacher’s effectiveness, and enhancing students’ outcomes in overcrowded classroomsen_US
