: Abstract
This study examined the role of digital health communication in promoting positive health behaviour among Algerian women, through an analysis of the breast cancer awareness campaign "Tabkira Khira" (Early Detection is Better) conducted at Mohamed Boudiaf University, M'sila. Drawing on the theoretical frameworks of persuasive communication theory, the diffusion of innovations theory, and the health belief model, the study adopted a descriptive survey approach using an electronic questionnaire administered to a purposive sample of one hundred women at the university. The study addressed five principal axes: exposure levels to the digital campaign content, the most widely used digital platforms, the campaign's contribution to raising health awareness, the impact of emotional content on the adoption of preventive behaviours, and a comparison of the effectiveness of digital platforms versus traditional media. Findings revealed high positive rates at the cognitive level, exceeding 94%, emotional response rates reaching 86% and above, and behavioural translation rates of 78% for self-examination and 82% for seriously considering booking a medical appointment. Facebook dominated the digital health landscape at 63%, while social sharing through peer networks reached 97%. The study concluded that digital health communication effectively promoted positive health behaviour among Algerian women by combining diverse content strategies, emotional appeal, and social dissemination within the university environment.
