Abstract

Abstract : The present study aimed to: Highlight the pivotal role of effective communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, and written) as a strategic tool for improving and developing the communicative culture within service organizations, using the "Mobilis" agency in M'Sila province as a case study. The study also sought to diagnose the current state of the communicative culture in the agency, evaluate the communication skills of customer service advisors, and determine the nature of the reciprocal relationship between these two variables. To achieve these objectives, a descriptive-analytical approach was adopted, utilizing structured interviews to collect qualitative data from a sample of the agency's employees. Through the study, the following results were reached: • There is a strong correlation and mutual influence between effective communication skills and communicative culture; individual skills build the culture, while organizational culture provides the supportive climate to practice these skills. • The communicative culture within the Mobilis agency is largely impressionistic and experiential, relying heavily on the accumulated personal experiences of the employees rather than on systematic, institutional training policies. • Employees possess a good practical awareness of verbal and non-verbal communication skills. However, the actual application is negatively affected during peak hours by environmental and physical barriers (such as noise and crowding), which create "institutional noise" that hinders active listening. • There is a weak reliance on written communication in daily interactions due to the fast-paced commercial nature of the work, coupled with a lack of regular feedback mechanisms to evaluate and correct the employees' communication performance.
