This course provides a comprehensive introduction to Biostatistics, specifically tailored for applications in Plant Biotechnology. The curriculum covers the essential Experimental Protocol, guiding students from the design of rigorous studies to the collection, organization, and Statistical Analysis of biological data. Students will learn to distinguish between variable types and apply appropriate descriptive measures including central tendency and dispersion to facilitate accurate Data Interpretation and support evidence-based decision-making. Furthermore, the course explores inferential and bivariate statistics, providing the necessary tools to perform correlation analysis and conduct tests of independence. A significant component focuses on practical application, training students to utilize Microsoft Excel for data management, graphical presentation, and computation within the field of Plant Biotechnology.
