| dc.description.abstract | This dissertation presents the design and development of a web application for attendance tracking and course distribution in a university setting. Traditional manual methods, such as paper sign-in sheets and printed timetables, are slow, error-prone, vulnerable to proxy attendance, and difficult to update. To address these limitations, the proposed application unifies both processes within a single, role-based platform serving administrators, teachers, and students. Attendance is captured reliably through a teacher-generated QR code combined with GPS location verification to prevent fraud, while course distribution manages teachers, classes, sessions, and assignments without conflicts. The system was modeled using UML diagrams and implemented with modern web technologies around a coherent relational data model. The result is a centralized, real-time tool that reduces administrative effort, improves accuracy, and aligns with Algerian university regulations on attendance. | |
