Abstract

This study seeks to evaluate the effectiveness of the constitutionalization of the environmental right in the Algerian legal system, emphasizing the importance of including the environmental right within the constitutional texts, as it is one of the basic rights related to human life and health. In 2016, the right to a healthy and appropriate environment became a constitutional right, detailing the duties of the state in establishing policies and laws that guarantee environmental protection, organizing economic activities,afforestation, and waste management.
