Abstract

Forensic medicine is considered a mechanism of criminal investigation, used by judicial authorities to reach evidence that proves or disproves the occurrence of a crime. It relies on the technical expertise of the forensic doctor, who plays a fundamental role in guiding and achieving justice. This role is based on tasks and specializations assigned to him directly by law or through a judicial assignment. The forensic medical report is the means of forming the judge's conviction to issue fair rulings that ensure the rights of litigants in various criminal disputes.
