Abstract

This document is intended for first-year undergraduate students in the new LMD (Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate) technology program. Chemical Thermodynamics (Chemistry II) is a 3-credit course. with the following content: Equations of state for gases, intermolecular forces, laws of thermodynamics, internal energy and entropy; equilibrium criteria, free energy; partial molar quantities, chemical potential; chemical equilibrium in ideal and non-ideal systems; thermodynamics of mixtures; statistical mechanics: microstates and randomness, probability and distribution functions; Boltzmann distribution; statistical thermodynamics of gases.
