Abstract This research addresses the topic of preference based on objectives (Maqasid) and its impact on Islamic jurisprudence, through a foundational study that clarifies its concept, evidences, types, and regulations, while highlighting the status of Sharia goals in guiding juristic reasoning and preferring rulings when evidence or juristic opinions conflict. The research also reviewed the positions of traditional and contemporary jurists regarding preference based on objectives and the foundations for considering it a valid method in juristic reasoning. On the practical side, the research addressed three jurisprudential issues: determining the value in zakat, a woman traveling without a mahram in the contemporary context, and human organ transplantation, illustrating the effect of Sharia objectives on preferring juristic opinions in these matters.
