Abstract: This study aims to analyze the importance of media management in student trade union organizations at the university, by measuring its contribution to improving the organization's performance and communication with students. The study adopted a descriptive approach, using questionnaires, interviews, and observation as main data collection tools from a purposive sample of 59 students enrolled in the Free Algerian Student Organization at Mohamed Boudiaf University in M'sila. The results showed that: − The level of media management within the student organization is relatively high, with variations across its dimensions; media communication tools recorded the highest levels. − Trade union media contributes to improving communication with students and raising awareness of their rights and duties, but its impact on motivating actual participation remains limited. − The organization's mental image is relatively positive but lacks sufficient transparency in presenting goals and activities. − The main challenges facing trade union media management relate to the absence of strategic planning, irregular publishing, and lack of specialization. The study recommends developing a written media strategy, creating a specialized media team, improving media content, enhancing transparency, and strengthening cooperation with media and communication departments.
