الكوارث الطبيعية والأوبئة في الجزائر خلال العهد العثماني 5181/5151 م(

Abstract

عرفت الج ا زئر خلال العهد العثماني من الفترة الممتدة ما بين ) 5251 من الكوارث الطبيعية المتمثلة في الزلازل والفيضانات والجفاف أدت إلى انتشار المجاعة، كما أن ظهور الأوبئة والتي ت ا زمن حدوثها مع التقلبات المناخية مما أثرت تأثي ا ر بالغا على صحة الفرد والمجتمع كما اجتاح وباء الطاعون والجذري والكولي ا ر ايالة الج ا زئر وقد تركت هذه الازمات الصحية تأثي ا ر اجتماعيا واقتصاديا مما أدى إلى هلاك وموت الكثير من الخلق وت ا رجع النشاط الاقتصادي مما انعكست سلبا على النمو الديموغ ا رفي وتهدف هذه الد ا رسة التاريخية التي حاولنا فيها التعرف على تاريخ ظهور الكوارث والأوبئة ومدى انعكاساتها على مختلف المجالات بالإضافة إلى مساهمة الحكام في صد هذه الأزمات وتجاوز حدوثها، كما كانت الجهود الشعبية في مساعدة علاج مختلف الأم ا رض والأوبئة بطرق تقليدية أو ما يسمى بالطب الشعبي وأيضا مساهمتهم في القضاء على المجاعة.Between 1518–1830, during the Ottoman period, Algeria faced a series of natural disasters, including earthquakes, floods, and droughts, which often resulted in widespread famine. These events were frequently accompanied by the outbreak of epidemics, whose impact, compounded by climatic fluctuations, severely affected individual well-being and the overall health of society. Epidemics such as the plague, smallpox, and cholera repeatedly struck the Regency of Algiers, leaving profound social and economic consequences, mass deaths, crises, and a decline in economic activity, which in turn negatively affected demographic growth. This historical study seeks to examine the occurrence of natural disasters and epidemics in Algeria, their effects on various aspects of society, the measures taken by rulers to prevent or mitigate their impact. It also highlights the contributions of local communities in addressing these crises, including the use of traditional remedies—commonly known as folk medicine—and efforts to alleviate famine.
