باللغة الأجنبية : Abstract : This study aims to investigate the dimensions and background of "political communication ethics in the 2019 Algerian presidential election campaigns." This is achieved by monitoring and analyzing the nature of the audio-visual content and messages that accompanied this pivotal historical event. The study stems from a central question: the extent to which media and political discourse adhered to professional standards and ethics in light of the rapid changes on the ground brought about by the street protests that began on February 22, 2019. To achieve the study's objectives, we employed a descriptive-analytical approach, utilizing content analysis. We applied the study to a selected sample of ten (10) videos documenting the stages of the electoral process (from the speech announcing a fifth term and the withdrawal of candidacy, to the televised debate and the Constitutional Council's announcement of the results). The selection of these videos provided us with a clear view of the developments in the electoral process. The applied study yielded a number of findings, most notably: a clear disparity and intense conflict in media and political coverage. This disparity exists between the promotion of ethical values (such as national responsibility, procedural transparency, and adherence to constitutional legitimacy) and the emergence of ethical shortcomings (such as loss of credibility, media bias, and the absence of genuine critical engagement). The results also demonstrated that the communication environment and audiovisual digitization have effectively contributed to fueling political awareness and shaping national public opinion, thus reinforcing a break with the traditional frameworks for managing and covering election campaigns in Algeria.
