L’enchaînement argumentatif du discours rapporté et de l’interrogation dans la presse écrite The argumentative sequence of the reported speech and the interrogation in the written press

Abstract

The present study explores the use of argumentation in the discourse of written press. It is intended to track down the argumentative strategies including interrogation and reported speech in the articles of written press. By adopting a descriptive analytic approach, we could define the argumentative strategies such as: Reported speech-Rhetorical question, Reported speech-Rhetorical question with intensification elements, Reported speech- Quantitative question, Reported speech-Subjection. The analysis of our corpus have permitted us to describe and illustrate these strategies which are essentially based on tying sequences linking interrogation to the reported speech. Dans cette contribution, nous remettons en question l’argumentation dans le discours de la presse écrite et nous problématisons à propos de l’usage de l’interrogation à des fins argumentatives. Notre propos est celui de traquer les stratégies argumentatives mettant en œuvre l’interrogation et le discours rapporté dans les articles de la presse écrite. En procédons à une approche descriptive analytique, nous avons pu définir des stratégies argumentatives que nous avons intitulées : DR - Question rhétorique, DR - Question rhétorique avec des éléments d’intensification, DR- Question quantitative, DR– Subjection. L’analyse de notre corpus nous a permis de décrire et d’illustrer ces stratégies qui se fondent essentiellement sur des enchaînements nouant l’interrogation au discours rapporté.
