التواصل الثقافي بين الجزائر وجامع الأزهر الشريف خلال العهد العثماني (1519م -925ه /1830م- 1245ه)

Abstract

تتناول هذه الدراسة موضوع التواصل الثقافي بين الجزائر وجامع الأزهر الشريف بمصر خلال العهد العثماني (1519م-1830م)، من خلال تحليل حركة الرحلات العلمية الجزائرية نحو المشرق وإسهاماتها الفكرية والدينية، باعتبارها مرآة تعكس عمق الروابط الروحية والعلمية التي حافظت من خلالها الجزائر على صلتها بالعمق الحضاري المشرقي في زمن اتسم بالركود الثقافي الداخلي. وقد بيّنت الدراسة أن هذا التواصل لم يكن مجرد رحلات لطلب العلم وفقط، بل كان تفاعلاً حضارياً متبادلاً أسهم في إبراز كفاءة العلماء الجزائريين الذين اندمجوا في المجتمع المصري، وحظوا بترحيب كبير أتاح لهم تولي مناصب رفيعة كالخطابة، الإمامة، الإفتاء، والقضاء. حيث ساهموا بفعالية في التدريس وتنشيط الحركة العلمية بالأزهر، خاصة في الدراسات القرآنية والفقهية وعلوم العربية. كما أوضحت النتائج أن هذا التفاعل تجلى بوضوح من خلال الأوقاف الجزائرية (كتلك القادمة من تلمسان، الجزائر، عنابة، ومليانة) التي خُصصت لطلبة العلم برواق المغاربة، ومن خلال المناظرات العلمية التي أثبتت القدرة الحجاجية والانفتاح الفكري لعلماء الجزائر، فضلاً عن نظام "الإجازات العلمية" الذي وثّق المستوى العلمي المرموق والموسوعي لهؤلاء الأعلام. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن جامع الأزهر الشريف مثّل الامتداد والسند العلمي والروحي للجزائريين، وأن العلاقات الجزائرية الأزهرية تمثل نموذجاً رائداً للتعاون الثقافي الذي تجاوز الحدود الجغرافية والسياسية، محتفظاً ببصمة قوية في تاريخ الحركة العلمية في العالم الإسلامي. الكلمات المفتاحية: التواصل الثقافي - الرحلات العلمية - جامع الأزهر - العلماء الجزائريون - العهد العثماني (1519م-1830م).

Abstract: This study examines the cultural communication between Algeria and Al-Azhar Mosque in Egypt during the Ottoman era (1519–1830). It analyzes the movement of Algerian scientific journeys to the Mashriq (Islamic East) and their intellectual and religious contributions, serving as a mirror that reflects the depth of the spiritual and academic ties through which Algeria maintained its connection to the Mashriq's civilizational core during a period characterized by internal cultural stagnation.

The study reveals that this communication was not merely limited to journeys in pursuit of knowledge, but was rather a mutual civilizational interaction. It highlighted the competence of Algerian scholars who integrated into Egyptian society and received a warm welcome that enabled them to assume high-ranking positions such as preaching, leading prayers (Imamate), issuing fatwas, and serving in the judiciary. They actively contributed to teaching and revitalizing the academic movement at Al-Azhar, particularly in Quranic and jurisprudential studies, as well as Arabic language sciences.

Furthermore, the results indicate that this interaction was clearly manifested through the Algerian endowments (Waqf)—such as those coming from Tlemcen, Algiers, Annaba, and Miliana—dedicated to students at the Maghrebi quarters (Riwaq al-Maghariba). It was also evident in the scientific debates that proved the argumentative ability and intellectual openness of Algerian scholars, in addition to the system of academic licenses (Ijazas) that documented the prestigious and encyclopedic knowledge of these prominent figures.

The study concludes that Al-Azhar Mosque represented the scientific and spiritual extension and support for Algerians. The Algerian-Azhari relations stand as a pioneering model of cultural cooperation that transcended geographical and political boundaries, maintaining a strong imprint on the history of the academic movement in the Islamic world.
