| dc.description.abstract | This study addressed the topic of “Cyber bullying and its relationship with irrational beliefs among fourth-year middle school students.” It aimed to identify the nature and strength of the relationship between cyber bullying and irrational beliefs, in addition to determining the levels of both cyber bullying and irrational beliefs, and examining gender differences in both variables. To achieve these objectives, the descriptive correlational method was used. Data were collected using two standardized instruments: the Cyber bullying Scale developed by Amira El-Shenawy (2014), and the Irrational Beliefs Scale for Children and Adolescents prepared by Hooper & Layne and adapted by MoatazSayed Abdullah and Mohamed Sayed Abdel Rahman (2002), based on Albert Ellis’s eleven irrational beliefs theory. The validity and reliability of both instruments were verified The study sample consisted of fourth-year middle school students from Hassan IbnThabit Middle School in Ain El Khadra. The exploratory sample included (30) male and female students, while the main sample consisted of (91) students selected randomly from a population of (148) students, after excluding the exploratory sample.
