Abstract
This reportage isentitled: "Students’ Attendanceat Lectures: BetweenPresence and Absenteeism". It is a fieldworkstudythataims to shed light on a phenomenonthat has become a distinctive feature of university life. The topicwasaddressedfromtwo main angles: attendance and absenteeism, whilealsoattempting to reveal the impact of thisphenomenon on students’ academicachievement.
The studyseeks to portray reality as itis, throughfilmingscenesinside the university campus and conducting direct interviews withstudents and professors, in order to collectdifferent opinions about the reasons and motives behindattending or skipping lectures.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemiccannotbeoverlooked, as itdeepenedthisphenomenon. During the lockdownperiod, studentsbecameaccustomed to distance learning, which made the return to lecture halls marked by noticeable variations betweenpresence and absence.
